What SHOULD have been a $400 Hardin--blade that's exceptional, barbs (and bevel sharpened serrated edges) that are exceptional--a well ground basal edge, simply one heck of a Kentucky Hardin point (county wasn't known). Every detail you're seeing is real, including the tiny, tiny tip some one broke and glued back. It happens. The last owner, the late Mark Lichtheiser (if I'm spelling his name correctly) didn't catch the break, the glue-back, either--as soon as I got the point under my Ott Lite (natural spectrum light) after returning home it was a "Well dang" moment. Hardly more than an eighth of an inch glued back on a 3&1/8" by 1&9/16" Hardin, Some would reject buying the point, some collectors could say "I can live with it"--maybe some would send the piece for restoration. Is there a 'right or a wrong way to display the piece in your collection--NO, it's your choice. The price reflects one great creek find, regardless. Shipping is $9.00 with checks or M.O>s always welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
