The chert knife is very slightly under 4", but it DOES have a silicone-type 'filler' at the very tip--your hands will let you know it's the sort of 'waxy feel' of silicone--a closeup photo should show the small repair--I left the repair in place as I'd never seen a colored silicone that matched the flint that closely--sold cheap, the Benton-style point, 2&3/4" and the Adena-type point,2&3/8", they have no repair or rechipping--the knife is there to round-out the group. These come from a western Tennessee collection, somewhere close to Hardin County as the family had a few Horse Creek Chert points--that flint kind of 'localized' to its source.
