A Posey County, Indiana, collection, the flint a high grade of our Hoosier Harrison County Hornstone, 2&1/8" by not quite to 1&1/4"--the heavy beveled edges indicating a much longer blade as-first-made--some very skilled pressure chipping as the blade was repeatedly sharpened. The point easily qualifies as a Knobbed Hardin--very strong basal edge grinding on this 7500--8,000 year old Early Archaic Culture point--a knife, actually, not a projectile. One way you know that is the edge impact fracture on one blade side (see the closeup)--you twist a flint knife under too much pressure, you get a "torque fracture...it could happen on a basal corner or on a barb--could be the tip will edge fracture if that tip hits something very hard (bone) at just the right angle.
