Crescent Quarry, high grade Burlington Chert that was heat treated--that 'ruddy' iron cast to the chert and the (now) heavy gloss, they both indicate a heat-treated Burlington. Length is 1&15/16" by 1&3/8"--at 3/8" max thickness it'd indicate a much larger blade as first made, narrowed and shortened as needed to keep a sharp edge. There is very slight wear on the very tip, but no other use-made damage--I'm assuming the two indentions on the basal edge were to better haft the piece, they were not damage. The knife head (or dart head) was made to fit the handle, not the other way around. Flaking, knapping, is excellent, as it overall patina--every detail guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $7.00 with checks or <.O.s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type payment services--Roy A.
