Shipping included on this Bond County, Illinois, area Hopewell type--a "Gibson Point", another of the Late Hopewell point styles that flourished right befofre the Hopewell finally adapted to bow-and-arrow technology, their point styles reduced in size to the much smaller Jacks Reef and Knight Island types (as well as the Lowes and the Bakers Creeks). The Hopewell finally moved into the small triangular points from these longer, wider 2&5/8" by 1&1/16", 3/8" thick) Gibson types. You can trace the similarity of the base to the related Snyders point bases--no basal grinding, naturally. Other than the Lowes and the Steuben-types Hopewell knappers didn't seem to value basal edge grinding. Flint, here, is--I think--a form of Payson Flint/ Chert, more tan, but with banding in the flint is the pics come through clearly--a hard flint, it really kept an edge. The point was sharpened-down somewhat, note that the tip kind of 'dives' whereas originally it was a more feathered-out tip and edges--read that as a 'number of edge 'sharpenings'.
