A Spencer County, Indiana, cornernotched Pinetree--some, not heavy, basal edge grinding. Considerable use shows in the blade sharpening on the upper half of the point--percussion chipping that contrasts to the pressure chipping the lower blade shows (and the finely made base). The last use the knife (or dart) made contact with snipped-off the tip. I will not rule out some culture that was considerably later than the Early Archiac maker having found and utilized the piece--you see far more streambed polish from washing sand and gravel that the tip area shows--the tip is NOT new chipping, but it is a less polished surface than the basal area. WE walk creeks to find flint--THEY walked creeks searching for deer--human nature, you find a usable tool, you take it home--we do--they did. Shipping is $8.00, checks, cash, or M.O.s are the three payment options. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
