This pair of Obsidian Excelsior Blades was found together as a cache in Shasta Co., California, and they come with a Dwain Rogers COA for each blade. The largest blade is 6" in length, and the shortest is 3.25". The 6" blade appears in the COA photo to have what might be a break at approximately mid-point, but it's simply a hinge fracture. This extremely well-flaked blade is complete, as is the shorter one. It is extremely rare to find a cache of these late Archaic blades, especially containing one as long as 6".
