Some points, the pictures say a whole lot more than the few sentences I can write--with this fine Hardin, well, this one is a perfect case for that 'take'... length is 2&3/4" by 1&3/16"--only in the hafting area does the thickness approach 3/8" (a very slight 'stack' there). The sharpening is best described as "quadra-facial", sliding out to the edges from each edge in a 4-sided pattern (not beveled is possibly a better way of saying that). The basal edge shows decent grinding--not "Lost Lake Grinding", but decent polish. To describe any use wear or damage, the conditions that hold the point at a 'reasonable grade 8: the tip has minor wear, a slight flat edge off one side of the tip--photo should show it. Too, the inside of one basal tang has a torque fracture--a bit of the stem edge fractured away when the knife was twisted (torque) too hard--some Early Archaic user/ maker put a little too much force while cutting dinner--it's minor damage, but when you grade a point you factor-in what you see. Where, besides "Kentucky" the piece was from, I didn't get that info--it ended up in an Illinois collection, sold in an estate sale with a number of other Kentucky-based points--the tan flint is exactly what you'd expect out of west-central Kentucky, though, patinated, guaranteed authentic in EVERY detail.
