What was it going to be--that's the question with this hornstone preform, barely crosses over 2&3/8" by 1&1/4". The quality of the knapping, you'd think it has to be Early Archaic Culture, but that really long tip, that's almost 'diagnostic' of Woodland workmanship. There isn't a stem fashioned, so you'd think cornernotching would have been the next step--that leaves me with a "think is was going to be" a Wade or Buck Creek-type point--where the cornernotching would have left a short stem (and barbs) The piece is a creek find, still has dirt on the 'down' face--also, the find has been in a Vanderburgh County, Indiana, collection, it's guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $7.00, checks, cash, or M.O.s are the ONLY WAYS I take payment--Roy A.
