A Daviess County, Indiana, Kirk Stemmed--early stage so there isn't a great deal of sharpening to the blade, serration would have come at a later stage of usage. Starting with width, 1& 9/16", wide for an Early Archaic Stemmed Kirk--length is 2&1/2", 5/16" (or very slightly over) max thickness. There is ancient use (wear) on the tip and one barb end of the VERY weathered hornstone. Note the similarity of the base to a Heavy Duty point, slightly auriculate, but lacking the heavy basal edge grinding of a Heavy Duty. Kirks, for whatever their reasons, treated basal grinding as a "Well maybe".
