Length is 3& 15/16" by 2& with a max thickness of 1&1/8"--no plow scratches or any other sorts of damage. The weight, the density, the Celt is either granite or another hardstone in the same family (diorite)--heavy on quartz in the makeup of the stone, polished by more hours of the peck-and-polish technique than any of us would want to go to. The Celt is out of a Bond County, Illinois, collection--patina everywhere. Hold the Celt, you'll quickly understand--no other way I can express that, it'll be great in your collection.
