First glance may not be the most impressive, the creek patina hides some of the pressure chipping on this Webster County, Kentucky, find-- but check out the knapping, it's from the early part of the Early Archaic Period, as is the grinding and basal thinning in the hafting area; Eastern Stemmed Lanceolates, the Ohio Lanceolates and (to some degree) the Heavy Duty Points, they share similar knapping and characteristics. The flint, 2&9/16" by 15/16", is a fossil material, very, very worn from some six-to-seven thousand years of creek tumbling. The point came to my collection from the finder something like ten year back, it's 100% guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $9.00, checks or M.O.s are how I welcome payments.
