Out of Adair or Russell County, Kentucky, ex Bennie Powell collection, 3&5/8" by 1&5/8"--thickness, due to such a large knife blade reaches along 7/16". However that Dovetailed base snapped, it took considerable force. I've seen raw flint of the color and texture there in the Columbia, Kentucky, area (behind my motel, lol) so "local flint" is how I'll describe it. One note: there are a pair of very thin lines of quartz that run side-to-side in the middle of the blade--NOT broken, they're 'fault lines' that filled in with quartz as the flint was forming--sort of like a cave formation, water with silica drips in, fills fissures in the rock.
