The first (in line) four are "Classic Adena", the last in line may well be a Turkey Tail--the base has the bevel-cut stem more associated with the Late Archaic Period than the Adena, but it could be the knappers' personal variation--or he could have salvaged a piece that had some basal use-made dings--you see considerable use modification to all five, points (knives or darts) that went through long periods of use and modification as the blades required sharpening (see the piece with the rounded scraper tip, note the strong impact fracture that changed the hafted knife into a hafted Scraper--that's USE. Three are in the 2&7/16"--2&1/2"; the 'stubby one' is1&7/8". These all come from the same stretch of Ohio River beach, Perry & Spencer Counties, Indiana. ALL are real, period. Shipping is $10 (USPS, having us pay for their generous retirement/ healthcare plan). I welcome checks or M.O.s, but do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
