Off a section of Ohio River beach that's known for both Adena and Hopewell Culture finds--Perry/ Spencer County, Indiana. These five are a mix of the styles the Hopewell Peoples made, a LOT of variation in the bases, you'll notice, but a number of similarities as well. For one, the Hopewell would canoe somewhat upstream to the Harrison County creeks for raw Indiana Hornstone--it was their major lithic used. The source creeks are now part of a state forest, all sorts of interpretive signs telling how ancient peoples "might" have traveled there for flint---a tongue-in-cheek way of saying "Yeah, they mined about a million lbs of flint here, left scraps everywhere". The longest point here measures 2&7/8" by 1&1/4"--all are real, and they fall in the "umbrella" of "Hopewell Cluster" points. I apologize for the $10.00 shipping, but UPSP is raising their rates another 11% this weekend. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s, but do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
