Nice, nice piece of Indiana Harrison County Hornstone, glossy grey with a very tiny inclusion of the light tan cortex on the very tip--both blade edges serrated and used in an over-and-over pattern; the right blade edge (picture #1) shows the heaviest use--the most resharpening as it's more in-curvate. Like so many Kirks there is very little basal edge grinding--dulling on the outer corners of the stem, not much in the auriculate base-center. Found in Dubois or Pike County, S.W. Indiana, length is 2&9/16" by 1&3/16"--very uniform thickness at 1/4". The Kirk has not been washed, slight bits of field dirt in the flake scars--you see what the finder first saw. Every detail is guaranteed authentic, period. Shipping is $9.00, checks or money orders are the only ways to purchase the piece as I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
