The patina is there on this Hopkins (or Muhlenburg) County, Kentucky, Clovis. Is it a "Grade 10"--definitely not, but the patina of some ten thousand years, that IS present--the Hornstone is deeply weathered. Length is very slightly under 3", width is 1&1/2" in the center, the thickness (in the center) is 5/16". One side/ face has a very prominent flute, the reverse face has enterline 'fluting'--three channels. One basal auricle is basically intact, the second auricle looks like there was fire damage--then was ground smooth by the Paleo hunter. With the degree of use there is very little basal grinding present--on the inside of the intact auricle, and that's about all. A 'stack' at the tip may have made this Paleo only a knife--no matter how they'd have tried that stack wasn't going to result in a perfect tip--not without shortening and narrowing the blade.
