If anyone--I do mean anyone wants to know why I recommend Keith Etchison's fantastic restoration work, this once-was-broken-in-half Cumberland is answer enough. In the pics, where I placed my thumb, that's where the restoration starts--on to the tip, color matched, knapping 'style' matched, and flute-matched. When I first saw the piece it was in the bottom of a box of arrows, some whole, some broken. Sweeping them aside as I looked what was there, you're only thought had to have been "Oh, my..." The piece was scheduled for "Etched-in-Stone" before I got back from that trip. Great, great work.
Okay--second part of this is a note that our daughters will be 'holding down the fort' while my wife & I are away a couple days for our 35th anniversary. I'll be off the net for a bit--no internet. Best to everyone for this great Spring weekend,
Roy & Jo
