82473--Ten Hornstone "tools", Indiana
The finder walked "Lithic workshops" along the Ohio river--these are ONLY a few of his finds, boxes and boxes of hornstone, mostly all broken...or 'temporary use flint tools fashioned for a particular job, then tossed aside. I won't make that claim for the final piece in the picture group, the colorful Uniface--no one goes to that much pressure flaking for a single-use tool--it ended up with the rest. The longest is a 3.5" (almost) knife--base snapped. I've grouped the pieces together, but may separate them later--we'll see if someone else finds them as interesting as I do. I'll post more on their history as time permits--figure "New Albany, Indiana, area", you'll be very close. Shipping is $11, checks, cash, or money orders are the ONLY ways to buy the pieces as I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
