Some ten years back, following a period of heavy rain the small/ medium sized Indiana creek produced this heavily mineral-stained Clovis knife--coalmine run off blackened the somewhat translucent Indiana Holland Chalcedony--back lighted you can see how light passes through--you can also see the very thin flute on one face. Note the parallel "overshot-type' flake scars...is it the translucent flint or is it the outre pas flaking, added to the super edge wear, maybe it's the combination of patina and length (3&3/8"), but this find by a sort of contrary creek hunter (and friend) makes my top five list...at least ones I've bought, not found. Best--Roy A.
