Eight southwest Indiana points from Spencer and Perry Counties--seven are made from varying color shades of Indiana Hornstone--the iron colored point is Muldrough Flint (another Harrison County, Indiana, chert type). The longest is close to 1&7/8", an expanded stem dart point with a 'splotch' of cherty cortex on one side of the tip and a heat pop out from a cooking fire on the reverse. This one may be one of the few Hopewell point types with basal edge grinding--you see that occasionally with Bakers Creeks and Lowe points. My personal choice (as favorite) is the Table Rock, a VERY symmetrical 'fish shape'--one of the best made Mid-to-Late Archaic point forms. On the four Early Archaic dart points they each show basal edge grinding.
