One very well made Early Archaic culture Bifurcate, whether you want to classify it as a LeCroy or a Kirk Stemmed Bifurcate--the degree of diagonal flaking, the pattern, is why I use "LeCroy", but different collectors might focus on some other aspect (little basal grinding) as why they'd call the piece a Kirk--2&1/16" by 1&3/16", 5/16" at the thickest spot--VERY proportional. In the 'work life', some 7500BP, the hunter made a notch repair along a blade edge--maybe used as a shaft scraper, but there is little use polish to the indention--just a repair of a chip, I think. Too, there is a very, very thin edge fracture off one side of the tip (seen in the last photo)--they hit something hard to cause that, but not enough to do much actual damage to the point.
