As an "arrowhead", well, ho-hum, just a stemmed point with a bit of ancient wear on the corner of the stem--the 'flip side' of that is that the flint is Tenn/ Miss. Horse Creek Chert--very few flints have the distinctive colors of HCC. This point was one of two Horse Creek points in a collection from N.C. Indiana--but the flints in the mans' collection were southern Kentucky into Tennessee for the most part--someone moved north, carried along the collection, maybe added a few pieces as they moved around--this point, you know the distribution range for Horse Creek didn't make it too far from Hardin County, Tennessee (and slightly southward) collections. Length is 2&3/8" by 1&1/16", being a very Late Archaic-into-Woodland era point the medial ridge is a slightly thicker 3/8" on a slight stack--that 'stack' is also where the colors are the best, that bright red banding. The point is absolutely guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $8.00, and checks or M.O>s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
