Three flint knives, the longest is 3&3/8"--next is 3&3/16", and 2&13/16"--the longest and the smaller blade are made of grades of Hornstone--middle-sized knife I can't say for certain as the last collector didn't label his artifacts--he was in N.C. Indiana, but the blades look like they're either southern Kentucky or Tennessee. I asked the auction people if they had more info they could provide, got a "How the .... would we know?" Some auctions are good about provenance, others leave you to study the piece, the patina, minerals present on the surface (iron staining on the longest piece is what you'd expect on KY and TN points, that red clay, rich in iron, so widespread in those two states). The trio are each real in every detail--THAT is clear. Shipping is $9.00--apologies for the high shipping cost but the USPS seems to be in a constant price increase cycle. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s, but do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
