Well, dang...it looked like a clay pipe from Mississippian Cultural sites--at least in the auction photos...at that was what I was hoping it'd be. Sometimes what you get might be even more interesting than you expected, though (with auctions). A neat fossil of a coral "bloom", 1&3/8" by 1". The detail of the fossil is outstanding. It was found in west central Indiana, Greene County, so presumably from the ancient Inland Sea. Shipping is $8.00 with cash, checks, or M.O>s welcomed.
