The family moved from southern 'digs' to north central Indiana--they took the family collection with them, points made off flints you know full well were from the south-central states area. The dark point is hornstone 1&15/16", Mid-to-Late Archaic as there is no basal grinding. Thee second "later Archaic" origin, no grinding, and I can only guesstimate the flint is in the Ft. Payne group, 2" by 1&9/16". Both have anciently salvaged tips--they had plenty of cutting edge left, they stayed in service after the tip salvage. One note--of frustration (on my part) the family wouldn't provide history on the pieces. Their choice, so I can only describe what the flints are, where those flints are found, and then guaranteed that the pair are 100% authentic--auctions can be reaaaal frustrating in that regard: I prefer collecting more history than that. Shipping is $9.00, check or M.O>s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
