A notched base Adena out of Spencer County, Indiana, a long 3&1/4" by 1&7/16", 5/16" proportional thickness to the big hafted knife. IF the chipping doesn't speak for itself I'd be very surprised--just a well made Adena in every respect. So you can examine the patination I'll point out one really small chip on a blade edge about a half inch down from the tip--that little flake-off shows a very dark 'freshly exposed' hornstone. Sometimes damage, even in miniature, it provides contrast to study patination. Note that on the cortex that makes up the stem of the Woodland point there is strong basal grinding, something Ohio Valley Adenas are noted for. Every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $8.00 with checks or M.O.s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal-types services--Roy A.
