I debated, is it a Lost Lake with a notched center--or a Dovetail with a notched center--I still lean towards Dovetail, but acknowledge there are some Lost Lake 'looks' there too--when it's leaves my collection, goes into your collection, you get to decide which you want to call the piece. The point is out of Illinois Hornstone (Cobden Flint), lots of Early Archaic-made sharpening so the length is down to 2&1/16" by 1&1/4". Yes, one barb is gone, ancient use-made damage--the tip looks like it was used as a leather punch (perforator) so it shows wear--not unusual. One blade edge has an indention for use as a shaft scraper--multi function on one 2.1" Dove--GREAT patina, out of Jefferson County, Illinois, area. Shipping is $8.00 with payments welcomed by cash, check, or M.O. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
