Shipping included on this Jefferson County, Illinois Peisker Diamond point--it's not the most "symmetrical point" ever seen, but the shape is very clearly that 'diamond shape' seen on the point style. Chert is a tan material,3&1/8" by 1&1/8"--the center thickness is 9/16", VERY thick, but I'm guessing the Woodland Culture knapper really struggled to work this chert--if the preform had been wider he likely could have thinned the blade. Starting with too narrow a blade, he had little chance of getting a thin knife--the edges would cut, and that's what he needed most. There is one small flake-off on the "V" stem, but that's the extent of any damage. I welcome checks or M.O.s but do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
