Shipping one axe, the cost is significant (rounded-up at $14.00), SO--here are two Early Archaic Axes that can ship together; get two pieces, save on separate shipping. These come from a southern Illinois Bond County collection, one made of granite, one made of Greenstone. Both are field finds, both were just washed for the pictures so the granite axe is still a bit darker in the photos as it's still drying (finder had never washed the dirt off) so even though they're 'field finds' , plow scratches are part of their "patina",--you see two authentic, 7500BP axes...as they survived. Lengths are 4&1/16", the greenstone one is 3&7/8" in length--granite piece is thicker, 1&3/4", other is 1&7/16" thick on the heel. They both show use, ancient repair of dings, even more use--in short, authenticity. Note the heel of the granite axe isn't broken, it conformed to the shape of the granite river cobble used to make it. Questions WELCOME. Payments to be by check, cash, or M.O., but please note I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
