This is a Central Texas Corner Tang Knife. It is made of a Dark Brown Edwards Chert. The edges are translucent with small light colored specks visible in the matrix.
It's attractive and well made, and the Tang head appears to be missing from the shaft. This may be an accident or possibly modified to be used as a straight haft tool. Maybe both.
