Agate Basin
This colorful artifact is a solid 3 1/4 inches and has a scattered whitish patina on both sides. The base is ground almost halfway up the blade. Interestingly the base is slightly rounded on one side while squared off on the other.
Agate Basin points are old. They are from the Transitional Paleo Period thru the Early Archaic Period. (10,200 to 8,500 BP)
This Agate Basin is complete with no flaws, and lots of whitish patina.
This artifact is from Central Texas and is made of a medium brown Edwards chert.
