Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful specimen of a Copena lance. This artifact is made from a beautiful Jasper material which is rare in Kentucky, but not unheard of. The blades have the classic recurvature form associated with the type. The lance is finely worked and displays extremely well...it is very symmetrical and thin. This was recovered from Kentucky and measures 3 1/2" long x 1" wide. Copena types are from the Late Archaic to Early Woodland era. This artifact has a noticeable patina throughout and mineralization deposits.
