The cost of shipping included, the listed-price covers it all on this Montgomery, County, Illinois, Dovetail/ St. Charles Point--sort of depends on where you live whether you use "Dovetail"--or St. Charles--same Early Archaic Culture made them, some 7500BP--old , very old hafted knives. This Burlington Chert point nudges slightly over 2&1/2" by close to 1&1/4" on the base (ground basal edge)--that wide base, the extensive blade sharpening (every chip ancient) tells you there was considerably more length and width across the shoulders--seeing is at 3&7/8" by 2" (across the shoulders) in stage one condition, I wouldn't be remotely surprised--it was a BIG knife. The patina, the mineral deposits down deep in the flake scars, they assure you there was a long history from when lost to when found. Good piece, period. I welcome checks or M.O>s, but I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
