This is a highly unusual, polished Bolo Stone made out of an attractive metamorphic hardstone. It was found in Perry Co., Illinois, and comes with a Jerry Dickey COA. Ungrooved Bolo Stones, like this example, were probably wrapped in leather, which was, in turn, attached to the thongs of the bolo-throwing mechanism, and used to down ducks, geese, and other game..
