Shipping included on this Cumberland base--about 60% of the point, roughly. Length as-is measures slightly over 1&5/8", and the entire piece was likely 2&3/4" per my 'guesstimate'. The piece was found in Henderson County, Kentucky, according to my records, it's something I've owned for at least twenty years...records get murky after that long of a time. The flint I'd call hornstone, but it may be Hopkinsville Chert--sometimes the distinctions between the two as slight, depends on the grade of the flint. Width is 7/8", 1/4" max thickness, and there is strong basal/ lateral grinding. One face shows a double--very light--fluting, but the reverse face shows only a 'thinning'. That light fluting is the reason the base is considered a Cumberland and not a Beaver Lake. Every detail is guaranteed authentic. You have a question, I'll answer it if I'm able--you have a counter offer on price, save your breath--this one is coming out of my personal collection, and can go right back in for another twenty years. I welcome checks, I welcome money orders, but I do not use paypal-type payments--Roy A.
