The piece comes from Trigg County, Kentucky, creek, a fractured-off-hornstone nodule (spall) with cortex forming the edge--a 'rind' of limestone. Length is barely under 4&1/2" by 1&9/16". I get a 5/8" caliper measured thickness on what I'd call "the heel" (it's anciently fashioned to fit the HEEL of your hand--hold it, you'll understand--left hand, right hand, it doesn't matter, the knife fits either hand. The creek patina speaks for itself, it's simply real. Shipping is $7.00 checks or M.O.s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
