I pay the shipping, not a thing extra on this 6500BP Mid Archaic Culture axe from a S.W. Indiana collection--it may have come from my county, but the auction house wouldn't know the answer to that (I asked, trying to get any additional provenance possible). The salvage work on the bit is ancient, the Benton (or other Mid Archaic user) kept the bit in a 'chopping condition' even if he didn't totally rebuild the edge. A little peck-and-polish (to make a chopping edge)--it worked, he kept using the piece. Pristine tools, you have to wonder why they'd be lost--authentic tools, like this axe, they're 100% real. Length is 4&5/8", height is 2&3/4", and thickness is 1&7/8"--bare, barely able to fit a Priority Mailer, so that's how it'll be shipped.
