Up for sale is a very fine specimen of a Middle to Late Archaic era contracting stemmed point made from beautiful Quartzite. I personally think it to be a Savannah River type, but the lance like form pushes me towards a Guilford or Conerly. This point displays beautifully and the blade edges are serrated as well. It measures 2 1/8" long x 1" wide. The artifact was recovered from the Yadkin River Valley of North Carolina. There are noticeable deposits of mineralization and patina throughout , so rest assured of its authenticity.
