Good points--and I provide what I (at least) think is a funny back-story for how these ten Warrick--Spencer County, Indiana, points-knives-scrapers came my way--weird, but a good example of "human nature"...a 'teaser' is it, only the buyer gets (as Paul used to say) "the rest of the story." Seven of the ten are Indiana Hornstone, naturally, that being the major flint used in southern Indiana--one is Sonora Flint (two shades of grey, with a caramel-colored middle, 1&5/8" for scale--and two are (assuming I'm correct) Jasper material from pieces of river gravel gathered and used when the tribal hornstone supply was low. Higher grade flints worked(knapped) a WHOLE lot easier, but getting the raw flint also often meant you had to travel many miles with either a loaded-down canoe or a hide bag on your back, banging your spine as you crossed creeks, climbed over-and-under downed trees. No fun. So--sometimes 'rougher cherts' were what you used to extend your supply of better quality flint. Were these ten used, adapted to new uses, used some more--definitely. They are real, that's what the lifecycle of an "arrowhead" was. Shipping is $10.00 due to USPS rates being what they are--sorry.
