A creek find that's been in my collection for decades, found by a very successful creek hunter who hunted streams off the Pond River, Hopkins County, Kentucky. This Palmer Point is of a high grade of Hornstone, excellent length for the point type at 2&1/16"--the tip may have been more needle-like until the last time the Atl Atl dart point was thrown---or possibly this was the way (as more of a wedge-shaped tip) the Early Archaic knapper fashioned the tip--it IS sharp. Being the dart form used by the Kirk Culture, these darts show basal edge grinding--not heavy grinding, but definitely ground. Put the point under a 10x loop, patina is everywhere--what you expect from a creek find. Shipping is $9.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
