A well made Little Bear Creek point out of either southern Kentucky or northern Tennessee, the type hornstone (with fossil inclusions) could come from either state...and the last collector/ owner didn't offer any additional provenance. Length is 2&7/16", and likely that's an eighth inch shorter than the point was before a tip impact fracture--whatever they hit with the dart point that last time out, they hit it hard enough to flake-away the side of the tip (see close up photo). Width is very classic at 7/8" as these are more narrow dart points, and thickness is 3/8". Being one of the four-side-sharpened (quadra-facial) points, you expect a slightly thicker medial ridge. To wrap that description in a nice package: the piece is exactly what it's supposed to be, it fits every guideline for point type & authenticity. Shipping is $8.00 with checks or M.O>s how I take payments. Please note that I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
