A Hamilton County, Ohio Hardin point that came from the Illinois Bill Pesch Collection, catalog numbered from a collection even before Bill's numbering system. Written in ink is the county/ state information, covered-over with either glue of something to preserve the provenance written on the blade. Length of the "Knobby" is 3&3/16", a good length with the 1&3/8" width and slightly over 3/8" max thickness (tells me the blade was even larger as it started out. Basal edge grinding is very, very good--some Hardins, the basal edge isn't this well ground. The blade shows a heavy worklife--even shows a thin shaft scraper indented on one close-up photo. The flint, if I'm using Tony DeRegnaucourt's "Chert Types" book correctly, is Cedarville-Guelph although that shows up more as an east-central Ohio flint, and Hamilton County is Cincy area--if I'm wrong some Ohio collector can correct me. Patina, though, that's no brainer authentic. Shipping is $8.00, checks or M.O.s are how I welcome payments. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type systems--Roy A.
