Neat base, VERY small down-turned basal tangs on this Mid-to-Late Archaic Buzzard Rooste Creek point. The basal edge has (as is typical for the point type) no basal grinding. Patina deserves mentioning, very heavy on the hornstone point from either far southern Kentucky or northern Tennessee. Length is 2&13/16"--maybe an eighth inch worn down from the tip being used as a scraping tool--width is close to 1&1/4", only 5/16" thickness. The wear, the time-after-time sharpenings of the blade edges show, this was some 3500--5500 BP users favorite knife. Every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $.00 with checks, cash, or money orders the only three ways it can be purchased. Thanks for looking--Roy A.
