A decent Knobbed Hardin out of the Lafayette, Indiana, area, a form of Attica--Indiana Green Chert,2&1/16" by 1&1/4", barely over 1/4" max thickness in the tie-on area, then thinning on to the tip. Stem base shows excellent grinding. Some past owner put his initials on the point in lettering so small it took a 10x loop to read even the first letter "E", but the two letters or numbers that come after that are no readable. One side of the tip is knapped into a darker inclusion--it shows on the front face but not the reverse edge--tip was fashioned as a burin. Note there is some glue or something like hairspray to give the point more shine--any number of products like nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol will remove the 'shine agent'--Roy A.
