Stilwell from the Montgomery--Bond County, Illinois, area--Burlington Chert,2&13/16" by 1"--some 5/16" max thickness, Stilwells being generally thin and well made. The edges show decent serration due to the pressure chipping of the blade--needle tip. These points, also found on the sites that produce Kirk points share a somewhat 'common' characteristic: basal grinding was hardly an afterthought--maybe slight dulling, but is is slight dulling. Patina--on a basal corner is a very small nick from how the piece was stored in the small collection. The stark white small corner chip shows you the state of heavy patination of the entire point.
