A Perry County, Indiana, Dovetail, slightly over a quarter century in my collection, 4&5/16" by almost 1&7/8"--thin blade, the thickest spot is only 5/16", and much of the blade is thinner than that. Each face has a left hand bevel sharpened edge. The tip was 'adjusted' to work as a scraping edge on the top 1/2", close up photo should show a different bevel than the blade edges. One barb is long, one shows the Cobbs Knife Preform had a slight problem in being made into a second long barb--there wasn't enough flint to fashion what the Early Archaic knapper had in mind--NOT damage, it's the result of too little flint to work with--the basal corner beneath that IS damaged, ancient, patinated, The basal edge is heavily ground. Patina is everywhere, every possible detail is guaranteed authentic. Two things to note: I am not accepting 'offers' on this Dove, buy it or don't, your choice. Next I welcome (accept) only three payment forms: checks, cash, or M.O.s. Shipping is $8.00. Thanks for looking--Roy A.
