I hunted the flint-filled creek, most of what was to be found was shattered pieces of high silicate flint/ chalcedony...which also means there were so many 'fracture planes' that it took an exceptional knapper to get any piece of size (read that as over 3"). This 'drill' was one of the longer pieces I came across, 4&7/8". The built-in' handle is 7/8" in height, and the thickness is 7/16"--it's as though the piece was custom made for your hand--and maybe it was. The piece comes from a local deposit of chert/ flint in Vanderburgh County, Indiana I've hunter time-to-time, it's real, period. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O>s are welcomed, but please note I do not use paypal--Roy A.
