79428--Large bladed Ohio Hardin, 3.2"
Out of Hamilton County, Ohio by way of Fayette County, Illinois--Bill Pesch Collection, not quite to 3&1/4" by a wide 1&7/16". The thickness is slightly over 3/8", and the Hardin Point shows some resharpening (7500 BP sharpening, so it likely was slightly larger as first made. Mr Pesch stenciled his catalog number on the stem, the county info on the mid blade area--but without access to that catalog I can't trace back the origins more than what I just wrote. Any additional info I can find in my notes I'll post, flint type, etc. Patina is excellent, every detail is guaranteed authentic--just a 'no brainer' Early Archaic point.
