A 'lense' (layer) form of Indiana Hornstone, not a nodular flint, 4&1/4" by 1&7/16", with a 3/8" medial ridge. The base intruded into a darker pocket of flint, some banding and swirling in the stem of this huge Adena--the base was notched to facilitate hafting--what you see (the notch) isn't damage. As the handle of the big knife moved slightly it rubbed the flint smooth in that notch. The slight bevel-sharpening of the tip would indicate the knife was slightly larger when first knapped. The blade was found some decades back in Warrick County, Indiana, guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00 with checks or M.O>s welcomed--sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
